This four-week Veteran Equine Therapy Group is designed to provide veterans with a supportive space to slow down, reconnect, and build practical tools for emotional regulation and healthy processing. Through guided, hands-on work with horses, participants will explore how emotions show up in the body, practice staying grounded in challenging moments, and develop healthier ways to recognize and respond to stress. No prior horse experience is needed, just a willingness to participate, reflect, and connect.
The group will be facilitated by Kristyn Robbins, a certified equine therapy professional and founder of Solia Farm, alongside Barron Wester, a licensed therapist and retired Army veteran. This combination of clinical experience, equine-based work, and firsthand military experience creates a unique environment where participants can feel understood without having to explain every part of their story. Horses offer immediate, honest feedback and a nonjudgmental presence, making them powerful partners in building awareness, trust, connection, and emotional resilience.
The group meets Thursday evenings from 6:00–8:00 PM for four weeks, beginning October 15. Cost is $25 per week, or $100 for the full four-week program.
